Mr. Brown is a former sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and a graduate of Temple University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Landscape Architecture. Temple University’s diverse curriculum included a strong emphasis on the understanding of native plant communities and natural systems. This area of study was then heavily applied to the development of sustainable built environments. Temple has a strong history of participating in revitalization projects within areas of North Philadelphia, where Mr. Brown was involved in several community-oriented collaborations. On campus, Mr. Brown assisted with the design and implementation of several ADA compliance site modifications and master planning on the over one hundred year old campus.
Following graduation, Mr. Brown was employed by Architerra, PC and grew to become an Associate Project Manager. While at Architerra, Mr. Brown was responsible for campus planning, landscape design, park and recreational design, and athletic facility design projects in the surrounding five (5) states.
With the creation of Brownmiller Design Corp. (now Brown Design Corp.), Mr. Brown has taken advantage of his diverse experience to dedicate himself and commit his staff to providing the highest level of client understanding, service, and professionalism within the realm of creating thoughtful, sensible, and attractive outdoor spaces.
